I’m all about chunky knits and always have been, ha thank the Lord it’s a thing again. Well, I hope it is.
I’ve been wearing chunky knits for ages because I LOVE huge oversized jerseys during winter so I thought I’d share a couple of tips for pare-shaped figures like myself when going for the chunky knit look.
1. It’s all about the length. If you go for something too short or too long you risk looking messy, short or plump. Ask yourself “am I tall, am I short, and I fuller in figure?” All these will determine your knit, shape and length of the jersey the best suits your figure.
For me I have smallish boobs and am of average height so I chose a slightly poofy mid waist knit to prevent looking short and having not that much boob I can get away with the slightly more poofy knit.
2. Stick to the skinny jean. Going for a wider jean can put you at risk of looking frumpier or losing your curves which you should be showing off.
3. Shoes to make or break. I personally like to keep the chunky knit casual with my white sneakers but I occasionally like to throw on a pair of booties to make the look a little more of a chick day look.
4. Lastly, I love to pair my chunky knits with a small sling bag so I don’t detract from the knit but also it allows for a pop of color if you are wearing a plain color like I am here. The sling can also give some shape to the knit.
