DIY Facial Toner

Recently I’ve been reading up about skin care, from in store to good old home remedies and to be honest, I’ve been horrified with how many chemicals are in some of our most common “natural” skin care products. I’m trying to go back to nature, back to the root as much as possible, (I say this trying my hardest not to sound like a happy hippy) so, I thought I would start with a toner.

This is literally the easiest thing to make, inexpensive and really effective! After only one month I’ve seen some pretty crazy results, its cleared up my pimples, helped with dark spots and given my skin a bit of a glow and the best part is its 2 ingredients. THATS ALL!

Add 15 ML of purified water to the bottle, then add 15 ML of your organic apple cider vinegar and 6 drops of the tea tree essential oil. Give it a good shake and apply after you wash your face. Apply morning and evening or however you feel. Take care to avoid eyes and lips.

It’s so easy I feel like I’ve found a life hack.

    Hi Grace,

Love this and for sure going to try it. I’ve been on my own kick to find more natural products to clear skin and this sounds like a cool addition to my routine. Did it cause any breakouts in the beginning? (Like skin sometimes does when you introduce it to something new?) and did it leave a weird apple cider vinegar smell on your face? I am also interested to know if you have changed up your whole face routine (wash + moisturizer) to use more natural products?

Hello Feige, l’ve definitely been trying to go natural. Ive been reading up so much on skin care and I’ve been shocked with how many chemicals they pump into “natural” products so been looking for alternative methods of my skin. With regards to breaking out. Yes i did break out a bit in the beginning but my skin really cleared up after about a week, the smell was a bit strong in the beginning so I made 2 I made the strong one for my nighttime skin care (because no one really smells me at night haha) and I diluted the formula a bit and added a few more drops of the oil to the daycare toner.
I have started to use a product thats called Back2Nature its AMAZING! she is a local girl who has started her own skin care line and its all natural, vegan, raw and hand made. Im going to actually post about it very soon and add links to her pages but for now you can contact her on Facebook. 🙂

I hope that helps. If there is anything i haven’t answered just shout. 🙂
